Abstract: the year 1983 the United Nations founded the world environment and development committee, in 1987 the commission published the report "our common future", first put forward the concept of sustainable development, points out that the principle of sustainable development to meet the challenges facing humanity. After new China was founded, China's western region's economic development and people's living standard has happened to the remarkable great changes, but the development of resources and environment in consumption quality degradation is cost. As people have insufficient knowledge of environment, the use of natural, transforming the nature of the process, to ecological environment caused considerable damage, make the further development of the society of environmental problems by many of the restrictions. this paper discusses three west to realize the sustainable development strategy.
